Babalu was one of my favorite nightclubs to dance at in Chicago. The night I danced was Saturday. Cover was $15, I think I paid $10 after signing up on their guest list. The crowed was very friendly and professional. The women were standing by the DJ booth a waiting for an offer to dance, I did not hesitate. There was mixed of good and novices dancers. The dance floor was excellent and was big enough so that floor was full but never too crowed. The DJ spun over 50% salsa that night.

I did not have too many issues with Babalu, the crowed did die down a bit around midnight, but nothing to complain about. Some of dancers made there way to Rumba.

In comparison to clubs that I have danced at in Chicago, Babalu impressed me the most. I would recommend checking about this club on a Saturday night. Some experience is also recommended. If you are a man who has just started, you may want to learn a couple of patterns before you venture to Babalu. As for the women as long as you can follow and spin you would be asked to dance often.
